Each year on Pentecost Sunday,  we commemorate our deliverance from spiritual bondage by celebrating the power that breaks chains and sets people free!  Let’s share our experience with family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers; many of them are in desperate need of God’s redemption.

A LITTLE HISTORY

The Israelites celebrated Pentecost to commemorate the Ten Commandments given on Mt. Sinai. Just as God came down upon the mountain to give the Law, He came down upon the disciples in Jerusalem on the Day of Pentecost to pour out His Spirit and begin His Church.

Acts 1:8 “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

The Holy Ghost brings righteousness, peace, joy, love, and life-changing, soul-saving power to heal and deliver.

This year, Pentecost Sunday takes place on May 27th. Once again, we are going to commemorate our deliverance from spiritual bondage by celebrating the power that breaks chains and sets people free! Let’s share our experience with family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers; many of them are in desperate need of God’s reconciling, redemption.

God will impact your community with His Spirit! Home Missions supports your efforts to reap the harvest of souls in your area. Together, we celebrate the awesome, miraculous power that God has showed through Pentecost!
